Jett starred in the BBC production Blood on the Carpet and was featured in the Arts and Entertainment Network's Biography. He was portrayed by the actor Courtney Vance in an episode of NBC's Law and Order.

Jett recently appeared on Public Broadcasting's Crossing the Line cohosted by renown attorney, Raoul Felder and Jackie Mason, the famous commedian and social commentator. Jett was a guest on the segment: "Kingpins of Finance" with other financial notables, Muriel Siebert, John Ryding, and Lawrence Kudlow.

Jett headed the Government Bond Trading operation of General Electric's Kidder Peabody division, managing a bond portfolio of $36 Billiion dollars and earning over 25% of the firm's profits.

Jett has pioneered the use of Collaterized Debt Obligations to open the capital markets to growing businesses.
